Acoustic Design, Design and Architecture:   Henson Recording Studios - A photovideo tour - 12 minutes 25 seconds

Henson Recording Studios, also known as A&M Recording Studios was created by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss in 1967, on the historic Charlie Chaplin lot, and is now owned by the Jim Henson Company.

The creative energy that constantly flows through this studio is palpable.   Joni Mitchell, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, to contemporary icons Mariah Carey, Lady GaGa, Kelley Clarkson, have all produced records in this renowned studio.

The photographs, in random order (you can go to the Henson Web Site for details), cover Studios A,B, D, Mix, Live Rooms, Iso Booths, Fish Lounge and Studio Lounges, some amazing gear, Tape Machines and the occasional "ghostly" figure moving through the frame, or playing the piano.

Wendy & Lisa have kindly given permission to use extracts from their original score from the T.V. show "Heroes", Composed & Performed by Wendy Melvoin & Lisa Coleman, featuring the voice of Shenkar, and recorded and mixed by Michael Perfitt.
